SUMMARY:Directs the safe and timely movement of revenue service vehicles and operators. Monitors on-time performance and trip productivity, rescheduling trips as necessary to maintain system performance goals. Reviews and validates accurate operator timekeeping. Verifies and posts corrections to arrival and departure times, service type, fare type and amount to be colleted, and other data points as directed. Provide riders with imminent vehicle arrival reminder calls, “where’s my ride” information, same-day trip cancellations and same-day reservation bookings when available. Under supervision, assists in developing transit schedules, operator work run assignments, and related documents.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follows general policies, procedures and practices in compliance with federal, state, local and company rules and regulations.

• Responds, records and resolves customer feedback via multiple channels.

• Communicates and coordinates with internal departments to help meet customer needs.

• Performs weekly audits that meet Transdev’s policies and procedures.

• Assists with the preparation of daily schedules and work flow related to daily scheduling.

• Serves as an emergency contact for drivers in the field.

• Coordinates communications between drivers and other supervisory personnel.

• Coordinates with municipal, county and other agencies in emergency situations or in traffic-routing problems, detours, enhanced service requirements.

• Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required.

• Minimum one year of dispatch operations experience within the transportation industry.

• Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt to changing situationsand listen to feedback.

• A customer service oriented mentality with attention to detail.

• Punctual with an emphasis on attendance

• Utilize computer software, proficient computer skills.

• Travel requirement (as a percent): <5% for occasional meetings.

• Must submit to and pass a drug test and background check.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• 100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities.

• Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.

• The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.

• Could perform physical activities such as movement / flexiblity with arms, repetitive hand-wrist motion, and legs and moving the whole body, such as minor lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
