Pay: $18.00-$20.00/hr.

Overview

In the custodian role, you will ensure the establishment’s premises are presentable to the public and clear of any trash. You will maintain and update a checklist of your cleaning responsibilities during your shift. Success in this role will be demonstrated by maintaining a clean and orderly establishment that is attractive to the public and employees.

Responsibilities

• Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)

• Takes out the trash and recycling

• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities

• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects

• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs

• Make adjustments and minor repairs

• Stock and maintain supply rooms

• Uses common cleaning tools and outdoor power equipment

• Follow safety rules and precautions

• Follow instructions from the Maintenance Manager

Qualifications and Skills

• Works well independently

• Follows written and verbal instructions

• Collaborates with other employees’ workers as needed.

• Handle the physical demands of the job, including standing and walking for most of the shift, bending, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds.
